The queen stood, stalk still. The tall, dark Shadow Being was standing before her, after climbing the sheer rock wall behind him to reach his prey on the cliff. His shoulders hunched menacingly.
Seeralaen stopped in her endless battle with the soldiers of Shadow, eyes narrowing at the evil before her queen. "Ghhhhiiiiiivvvve iiiiiit toooo mhhheeeeee," demanded the creature of evil of the elvish queen. "Never as long as breath remains in my body." she spat back. "Yhhhooou sssseal your own dhhheathththth." hissed the Thing. It drew its long, dead hand out of the dark folds of its smothering cloaks, clutching a black, jagged sword. The sword was longer than its master's arm, and it did not glint in the harsh winter sunlight, it swallowed it. No light glinted off its dark blade, the light which came to it was sucked into its evil depths and killed.
The Shadow Being approached the brave Queen, sword raised. Seeralaen clutched at her own sword, Lilthornien, the Father of Justice, and charged at the bearer of the Dark Sword crying the ancient war-cry of her people.
As the brave elven captain ran to her mistrisses aid, the Dark One brought the evil blade down.
Time itself seemed to slow.
As the Elvish Queen prepared herself to meet her fate, the Sword came closer to her unprotected neck.
A clash of armor and swords broke the spell.
Seealaen launched herself at the Shadow Being, knocking his-its- sword aside. "Slay her, vile cretin, and I'll flay you alive!" she shouted through clenched teeth, swinging her sword. The Dark Thing parried a blow to his head as if Lilthorien was no more than a fly. The loyal captain's eyes flashed with infinate anger.
The Shadow Being tried to through the sword at the queen, but Seeralaen leaped for it, and took the blade for her queen.
She fell to the dust as dead. "No!" cried the queen.
The Shadow Being walked to the crumpled form and looked down on her with utmost contempt. As he reached down to retrieve his blade, Seeralaen's gauntleted hand shot out, and grabbed her enemey's foot. With a savage yank, she pulled it out from under him, causing him to fall over the cliff with an earsplitting shriek.
But as he fell, he grasped at the elvish captain, dragging her down with him. "Seeralaen! No!" the Queen called.
but the captain and Shadow Being were already on their way to the jagged rocks below the high cliff, their blood streaming out behind them, mixing in the air.
The Elvish Captain looked into the red eyes of the Shadow's servant. With a savage growl she yanked the dark sword from her side threw it from her. "I swore on my fathers grave never to rest untill his sword pierced your black heart," she hissed through clenched teeth. THe shadow being scrabbled for a hold on his enemy, wishing to kill her and use her body as a pad for the landing. Her hand shot out and grasped his neck.
The shadows' servant's tounge curled out of his head, his jaw opened and closed like a fish out of water. "And now I can rest."
She took her own sword, and spun it around. The evil thing she had in her grip had a horrible sight to see before he completely left this earth: An angry, bloody she-elf holding the sword of Justice.
