In this book, I was quite suprised to find that Roran and the rest of the village were a major part of the story. I liked how the action went from Eragon to Roran and back again. What do you all think of this setup? was it confusing going bak and forth? Should it have been more focused on Eragon?

I was sort of annoyed and resented having to go back and forth; I admit I liked the part when it was Eragon's point of view. Though I think it was rather nice, a challenge.

I wasnt too crazy about how it switched from eragon to roran. I was actually skipping parts with roran sometimes because I really wanted to find out what happened to eragon.

Like emoelf said it was boring to know what as going on with roran and everything but it was an interesting technique that paolini used, switching from one characters eyes to another and switching back, but yea it was still interesting to know what was going on but eragon was more important and interesting. what i found was more boring than rorans story was the Vardens story i mean it was so boring it was the only time and part in the story that made me sleepy and i found it a bit unneccesary to put it in but then again it is apart of an awesome story so yea lol

To write while switching between different Point of View (POV) characters is a common style, especially in fantasy. I enjoy reading this style when it's done well.

i was like emoelf and i was skipping all rorans part so i could read eragons then i eventually read the book again with rorans and found they balanced each other out very nicely.

I realy enjoyed how it left you in suspense till you got through the next part. and anyways if you skip Rorans parts it makes no sens when he shows up at the end.
