hi every one, ok, let me go to the beginning. My two cats, belladonna (bella for short) who is....was a mum, is 4 or 5 years old, and the second one is Murili, a cute little kitten at the age of a couple of months.....is terribly sick, they both suffer from a disease that only attacks cats. now i don't exactly get what it is but i know what it is and what it dous but i can't explain it. So I'm just gonna copy and paste a bit of this page i found.
"The type and development of disease is quite complex and, in large part, dependent on the status of the animal’s immune system. In some instances, the immune system’s response to infection may actually worsen the clinical signs. In the Effusive Form of the disease there is accumulation of substantial quantities of fluid in body cavities (abdomen and chest). Some of these animals appear profoundly "pot-bellied", while the Dry Form of the disease does not present this way. In both forms, clinical signs can be quite variable; virtually any organ or soft tissue system can become affected, thus mimicking many diseases. The most common clinical signs are non-specific and include fluctuating fever, inappetance, lethargy and weight loss. Sometimes, if the central nervous system is affected, neurological abnormalities are apparent."
Now last week i think it was my parents took the cats to the vet and told us what was wrong.... and that they won't make it.
now most people would think that they're just cats. "Put them down and forget about them and get new ones." now, heres the thing, i used to live in south africa but moved here to new zealand when i was 9 so i left all my friends and family there, so cats became my family, its like they're my brothers and sisters you know.... and now I'm the kind of guy who doesn't cry, but when i heard that they 'aint gonna make it i could stop the tears...
Geeze, look at me just babling on about my life story LOL.
well i just want every one to know about this deadly disease...
